## Description

As a Senior Procurement Business Partner, you will lead the commercial procurement agenda for a broad business portfolio across BBC Commercial, working with various business stakeholders to turn business priorities into a forward-looking commercial procurement plan.

You will guide complex decisions, secure value from third-party/supplier spend, and manage a team that delivers outcomes aligned with the BBC's strategic objectives.

The proposed salary range for this role is £75,000–£95,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.

Key responsibilities:

- Partner with business leaders, budget holders, and supplier owners to understand their objectives and translate strategy into a prioritized commercial procurement plan.

- Lead complex sourcing, negotiation, renewal, renegotiation, and exit activities.

- Own commercial outcomes and benefits across your portfolio, including savings and value delivery.

- Develop and lead major category strategies.

- Bring together procurement and other specialist expertise to support compliant, responsible decisions.

- Lead, deploy, and develop business partners and other commercial colleagues.

- Lead and manage a team of commercial procurement managers.

Essential criteria:

- Significant senior-mid level procurement or commercial experience.

- Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills.

- Experience building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.

- Strong analytical skills and experience using spend data and market insight.

Desirable criteria:

- Experience in media, broadcasting, content production, or another complex creative environment.

- Experience working across multiple business areas or leading a significant category.

- Professional procurement qualification such as MCIPS.

- Experience of supporting organizational change or developing procurement capability.
