## Description

We are seeking a part-time Cook to join our team at St Mark's Care Home in Maidenhead. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious meals for our residents, using fresh ingredients and catering to their dietary needs and preferences.

**About St Mark's Care Home** St Mark's is a welcoming home for adults in need of nursing, residential, dementia or palliative care. The home provides specialist nursing care for people living with Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease, and offers short stays, respite care, and flexible day care services.

**Your Responsibilities**

- Prepare varied and nutritional menus using fresh ingredients, in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents

- Put forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping our residents to feel at home

- Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving of food

- Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries

- Cater for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays

**Requirements**

- Passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates

- Ability to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal and make our residents feel at home

- Open to new ideas, with an innovative approach to cooking whilst always adhering to high standards

- Good communication skills, with the ability to share your love of food with residents
