## Description

The Business Finance Manager role is part of the Business Finance function in the North Asia region, which includes Hong Kong S.A.R., Macao S.A.R., Mainland China, South Korea, and the Taiwan region.

The mission of the Business Finance Manager involves providing Smart Analytics that can be turned into actionable insights and enables management to effectively solve their business problems.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the oversight of the overall governance, end-to-end process, and development of Budget and forecasts

- Overseeing all cost variances and exposure to help CHANEL manage its margin and economic expenses

- Combining functional and commercial depth of experience to challenge business partner viewpoints and assumptions

- Designing and performing ad-hoc analysis, incorporating checks and balances to ensure data integrity

- Reviewing and challenging KPI and reviewing results

- Monitoring financial and operational performance via KPIs and automated/self-serviced reports to support business decision making

- Analyzing and explaining the variance between budgeted and actual financial results

- Articulating the reasons and financial consequences of management decisions with medium and long-term implications

- Acting as a subject matter expert and applying innovative system implications to support data quality and help improve business performance

- Facilitating the assessment, development, and implementation of technological tools

- Supporting and coaching others in the functionality and application of technological tools

- Proactively looking for innovative solutions to optimize the process of data analysis and modeling

The Business Finance Manager will also support the Business Finance Lead in providing a transversal, holistic, and accurate translation of the performance and financial position of the Region.

Requirements include:

- University degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines

- Thorough knowledge of accounting/financial planning & analysis concepts and principles

- Solid experience acquired in the finance department of a multinational company

- Solid experience with Controlling and Budget Analysis and hands-on experience with finance systems

- Rigorous, organized, equipped with a great sense of service

- Curious to analyze financial data in-depth and have a strong appetite for information systems

- Good interpersonal skills and at ease with complex organizations

- Excellent command of MS Excel

- Hands-on experience with IBM Planning & Analytics tool (TM1), Hyperion tools (HFM, Planning & Analytics), and/or other consolidation and reporting tools is a definitive advantage

- Fluent English is required
