## Description

As a Risk Operations Analyst at Stripe, you will play a critical role in ensuring our policies, operations, and workflows align to the needs of our financial partners. You will be accountable for workflows impacting various cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to identify and assess regulatory, contractual, and partner risk. Your responsibilities will include:

Demonstrating sound judgment and navigating high-risk decisions Evaluating merchants by assessing their suitability to process on Stripe Adhering to process while questioning assumptions and suggesting improvements Effectively communicating with other Stripes, users, and financial partners Identifying trends and reporting them to cross-functional teams Contributing to projects to enhance and optimize due diligence strategy systems and tools Helping build and scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem Identifying gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies, and recommending enhancements and process improvements

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop scalable operational processes to ensure compliance with service level agreements, routine reporting, and overall risk mitigation.

We're looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or financial operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and expertise in program management. If you have experience in data analysis tools such as SQL, familiarity with risk management related concepts, or experience in financial partnership relationship management, that's a plus.
