## Description

We are seeking a Strategic Engagement Manager to join our team at the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating OPG's engagement with key external stakeholders, helping the organisation explain its plans and priorities, listen to stakeholder insight, and use feedback to improve services.

The OPG is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), set up in 2007 following the introduction of the Mental Capacity Act of 2005. We are responsible for registering lasting powers of attorney (LPA) and enduring powers of attorney (EPA) and supervising deputies who are appointed by the Court of Protection.

The Strategic Engagement team leads and coordinates OPG's engagement with key external stakeholders, helping the organisation explain its plans and priorities, listen to stakeholder insight, and use feedback to improve services. The team supports strategic relationships across OPG, develops engagement approaches for priority audiences, and produces tailored briefings and communications material to support effective stakeholder activity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting improvements to the quality of stakeholder engagement across OPG and providing strategic advice to OPG senior leaders on handling high-profile and sensitive issues

- Maintaining effective and proactive relationships with OPG's key stakeholders at senior level to support delivery of strategic objectives

- Supporting OPG's business and customer transformation programmes by assisting with stakeholder handling and engagement strategies

- Managing the coordination of business-as-usual stakeholder engagement activity across OPG

- Making clear recommendations to senior leaders in response to engagement invitations and supporting delivery of a proactive engagement calendar

- Managing the delivery of high-quality briefings and communications material for key stakeholder audiences

- Supporting the planning and delivery of engagement activity such as webinars

- Supporting the gathering of intelligence and analysis of external engagement effectiveness to inform current and future engagement strategies

The salary for this role is £35,335 - £42,859 per year.
