## Description

KIII-TV Corpus Christi, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate, is seeking an innovative Senior Producer to shape daily newscasts. The successful candidate will lead a team, guide editorial decisions, and create engaging stories across platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity

- Inspire and motivate a team while leading by example

- Guide editorial decision-making as a newsroom leader

- Ensure shows are filled with context and stand out from competitors

- Showcase creativity and storytelling skills

- Craft stories of various lengths for different audiences

- Meet daily deadlines

- Combine live pictures, graphics, and sound to create engaging experiences

- Provide continuous coverage on live streams for breaking news and community events

- Try new things after discussing with supervisors

- Drive content with impactful conversations

- Use data analytics to shape show content

- Challenge traditional methods

- Ensure diverse voices and perspectives are represented

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

- 3-5 years of news content experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong journalistic judgment and understanding of professional journalism

- Experience producing engaging newscasts and digital content

- Social media skills and active presence on preferred platforms

- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure

- Ability to handle live, breaking news situations

- ENPS and Edius system experience preferred
