## Description

WSP is seeking a full-time Early Career Structural Engineer for its Mountain Pacific Transportation Engineering Team in Tacoma, WA.

As an Early Career Structural Engineer, you will work on innovative solutions to challenging infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in analysis, design, and assessment of structural components under the guidance of supervising structural engineers.

- Develop practical solutions to structural problems using theoretical knowledge.

- Create numerical models, prepare calculations, develop plan sets, and review submittals.

- Take ownership of tasks and communicate effectively with supervising engineers.

- Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, and software.

- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.

- Familiarity with Earthquake Engineering, Structural Dynamics, and design codes.

- Engineer in Training Certification or scheduled date for the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.

- Prior internship or work experience related to the degree of study.
