## Description

SpaceXAI is seeking an Industrial Welder to support the buildout of its high-performance data centers. In this hands-on role, you will fit and weld large industrial piping and structural steel to ASME Section IX standards, ensuring the construction of next-generation AI supercomputing infrastructure.

You will work closely with various teams to weld pipe, supports, and structures throughout the construction process. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring significant travel to SpaceXAI data center sites.

## Responsibilities:

- Fit, tack, and weld large-bore industrial piping and structural steel according to ASME Section IX welding procedure specifications.

- Prepare joints by laying out, cutting, beveling, grinding, and aligning them; check fit-up and reinforcement before and after welding.

- Interpret isometric, spool, and structural drawings; adhere to weld maps, heat numbers, and control requirements.

- Assist with hanging supports, setting equipment, and bolting up as needed.

- Manage inventory, stage materials, and maintain a clean work area.

- Ensure site safety by following regulations, obtaining necessary permits, and reporting hazards.

- Support punch-list work, repairs, and inspections during system turnover.

## Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of journey-level industrial construction welding experience, including welding large industrial piping and/or structural steel.

- Completion of a recognized welding apprenticeship or equivalent military experience.

## Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Experience with GTAW (TIG) on stainless steel and/or SMAW (stick) on carbon steel.

- ASME Section IX qualification or ability to pass a pre-employment weld test.

- Willingness to work at heights, outdoors, and on changing construction sites.

- Familiarity with welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.

- Strong safety mindset and adherence to site procedures.

- Prior experience on data center, industrial, or heavy-civil construction sites.

- Current ASME Section IX qualification (e.g., 6G) in GTAW or SMAW.

- Proficiency in TIG-on-stainless and stick-on-carbon; FCAW a plus.

- AWS D1.1 structural welding qualification or equivalent.

- OSHA 10 or equivalent training.

- Ability to read isometric, spool, and structural drawings.

- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

## Additional Requirements:

- Ability to travel extensively to SpaceXAI data center construction sites and remain onsite during peak phases.
