## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Development Engineer to join our team in Morocco. As a Functional Development Engineer - Hydrogen Energy Systems, you will develop operating strategies and functional concepts for advanced energy systems and electrified powertrain applications. Your responsibilities will include defining system functions, operating modes, and state-machine logic based on system requirements. You will also specify sensor and actuator requirements to support functional implementation, develop diagnostic, monitoring, fault management, and safe-state concepts, and ensure requirements traceability.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop operating strategies and functional concepts for advanced energy systems and electrified powertrain applications.

- Define system functions, operating modes, and state-machine logic based on system requirements.

- Specify sensor and actuator requirements to support functional implementation.

- Develop diagnostic, monitoring, fault management, and safe-state concepts.

- Support functional decomposition, interface definition, and functional architecture development.

- Ensure requirements traceability and contribute to verification and validation planning.

- Support functional integration activities and collaborate with system, software, and testing teams throughout the development lifecycle.

**Requirements:**

- Master's degree or Engineering degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent field.

- Experience in functional development, systems engineering, or control systems development.

- Knowledge of requirements engineering and specification development.

- Experience in system and subsystem architecture definition.

- Strong understanding of functional architecture, functional decomposition, and interface management.

- Familiarity with verification and validation processes, as well as requirements traceability.

- Experience with MBSE/SysML methodologies and requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, or equivalent).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Fluency in English within an international engineering environment.

- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262).

- Experience with FMEA and HAZOP methodologies.

- Experience in Fuel Cell, Hydrogen, Battery, or Energy Systems development.
