## Description

We are seeking a Lead Substation Structural Engineer with a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8+ years of structural design engineering and review experience.

The successful candidate will have experience within the electric utility industry, preferably working directly for a utility or an engineering consultancy, and prior engineering work experience in California.

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing design reviews of civil/structural design components in support of substation project development

- Leading projects as a senior engineer

- Developing junior staff members

- Managing client expectations and building strong client relationships

- Conducting site visits to client substation facilities

- Occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events

The ideal candidate will have:

- A strong educational background in steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations design

- Experience with industry codes and standards under seismic loading conditions

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software

- Experience with RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAG10, FAD, or LPile software

- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation

- Strong analytical and technical writing skills

This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates residing in California.

The salary range for this position is $92,300.00 - $166,850.00.
