## Description

This Equipment Service Co-op/Intern role is part of Honda's cooperative learning internships program, designed for college students. The program runs from January to April for the Spring 2027 session. As an Equipment Service Co-op/Intern, you will work alongside maintenance technicians, focusing on safety procedures, quality policies, root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and work documentation.

Assignments may include:

- Building Maintenance: Engage in multi-disciplinary projects encompassing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration disciplines.

- Weld: Confirm and update line-side hardwire prints, perform basic electrical wiring, and use shop equipment and tools for repair and fabrication.

- Paint: Support fabrication activities and assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures.

- Stamping: Conduct press inspections, handle breakdowns and repairs, and provide line-side assistance.

- Facilities: Perform general building maintenance including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- To be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial safety, and industrial math.

- Demonstrate a positive attitude and proactive approach to equipment maintenance.

- Basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats.

- Servo systems (Robotics)

- Autodesk Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD)

- Machine design

- Pumps

- For Weld only: Soldering, welding (MIG, TIG, SMAW)

Requirements also include:

- Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA.

- Class Status: Freshman or above.

- Term: Minimum of 10 weeks required.

- Shift/Hours: Must be able to work a minimum of three days per week and at least four hours per day.

- Valid U.S. Driver's License.

- Ability to secure own transportation to and from work.
