## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Science - Model Risk at Capital One, you will partner with a cross-functional team to deliver products customers love. You will leverage a broad stack of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark, to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of data.

You will build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation. Additionally, you will translate complex work into tangible business goals.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, innovative, creative, a leader, technical, statistically-minded, and a data guru. They have experience with open-source languages, cloud computing platforms, and data science solutions.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field, with relevant experience performing data analytics. Preferred qualifications include a PhD in a STEM field, experience with AWS, and managing people or leading team-based projects.

The salary range for this role is $229,900 - $262,400 in McLean, VA, and $209,000 - $238,500 in Richmond, VA. The role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
