## Description

We are seeking a Principal Safety Consultant to join our team in Rail & Transit. As a leader in safety engineering and assurance services, you will play a crucial role in enhancing safety protocols, risk assessment methodologies, and overall project quality. You will lead complex rail safety engineering and assurance services, certification and authorisation projects, and contribute to a diverse range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead complex rail safety engineering and assurance services to engineering projects

- Lead certification and authorisation projects, such as new railway stations

- Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes for each project

- Contribute to safety assurance management, safety approvals, and CSM work for major infrastructure projects

- Provide support to contractors in completing CSM and approvals for station and civils works

- Work on global projects spanning Australia, the US, Canada, Asia, and the Middle East

- Demonstrate flexibility by effectively managing multiple activities and proactively balancing workload across different projects and customers

- Lead interactive workshops with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

- Experience in delivering safety engineering and assurance services to rail projects

- Background in risk management, systems engineering, safety engineering, and/or interoperability

- Ideally with a civil engineering background

- Prior experience in major rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable

- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and proactively prioritise workload

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
