## Description

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team in Chennai, India. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall design and evolution of one or more modules in our eCommerce products. You will research the existing application footprint and recommend solutions to run application workloads in a futuristic architecture landscape.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE/Spring framework/Spring boot and experience with microservices architectures, cloud-native architectures, event-driven architectures, APIs, Domain-Driven Design, public cloud, serverless, Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, and performance testing.

You will also be responsible for bringing commerce platform engineering expertise and experience to significantly improve Ford's current capabilities and ensure these platforms can grow to meet increasing demands.

In this role, you will design, build POCs on latest cutting-edge technologies and contribute to constructing, deploying highly scalable and robust cloud-based intelligent solutions.

You will also contribute to Ford's Product Driven Organisation (PDO) model by identifying improvements and areas that help to reduce dependencies and increase autonomy for teams to deliver.

As a Lead Engineer, you will develop new capabilities and maintain a global product that supports both Ford's vehicle and non-vehicle eCommerce business, set to expand across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities:

- Overall design and evolution of one or more modules in eCommerce products

- Research existing application footprint and recommend solutions for futuristic architecture landscape

- Bring commerce platform engineering expertise and experience to improve Ford's current capabilities

- Design, build POCs on latest cutting-edge technologies

- Contribute to constructing, deploying highly scalable and robust cloud-based intelligent solutions

- Contribute to Ford's PDO model by identifying improvements and areas to reduce dependencies and increase autonomy for teams to deliver

Qualifications:

- Minimum 12+ years of experience

- BE in Computer Science or an equivalent course

- Work from office on minimum 4 days a week
