## Description

We are seeking a Data Architect to join our Solution & Data Architecture team at DWS Group in Madrid.

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for shaping architecture-relevant patterns and guidelines, supporting delivery teams in implementing solutions aligned to these standards, and maintaining the organization's Enterprise Data Model (EDM).

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Breaking down functional and non-functional requirements into individual data-related building blocks, data models, data ingest strategies, and data consumption strategies

- Collaborating with data engineers to implement data models and ingest/consumption patterns

- Working with Domain Architects and fellow Solution and Data architects to develop strategic architecture decision records, patterns, and code for common problems

- Supporting solution design with Solution Architects and defending designs before implementation

- Maintaining the EDM and helping to materialize it into physical models where required

- Assessing and researching new technologies and deriving usage patterns for the broader organization to adopt

We are looking for candidates with:

- A degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering and architecture

- Prior experience in the financial industry or specifically in Asset Management is a plus

- Strong data modeling skills, including 0NF, 3NF, Star, Snowflake, and DV 2.0

- Very good understanding of individual data architecture aspects, such as batching, streaming, parallel ingest, and event-driven architectures

- Proficiency in traditional RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake

- Strategic thinking and planning skills

- Experience with cloud deployment, preferably GCP

- Experience in designing and building or integrating with ABAC or RBAC controls or systems (IAM)

- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows
