## Description

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Payments & Wallet team, also known as PAW, which handles asset management, compliance, and On-chain Services & Integrations at Coinhako.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance services that power our payments and wallet infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

- Architect and build scalable backend services using Rails 8, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, and Docker;

- Design and build high-volume APIs used by our frontends and external traders;

- Ensure the long-term quality of the code and drive decisions related to the architecture of production systems;

- Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance;

- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers during various product development stages;

- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;

- Understand good practices of building and working with APIs;

- 5+ years of building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby; Go is a plus;

- Comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates;

- Organized, proactive, and able to manage yourself;

- Knowledge of cryptography and security principles in blockchain, as well as compliance and regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency.
