## Description

We are seeking a motivated and committed experienced chemotherapy trained nurse to join our team as a Band 6 Unit Sister in the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the shifts in the Chemotherapy Day Unit, leading and role modelling the service to ensure safe, effective care and treatments are delivered whilst maintaining a holistic, proactive, and dynamic approach to patient care.

The post holder will work in collaboration with the Unit Manager and team to identify developmental and educational needs of staff, focusing on the care required by patients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Participating in daily review of the treatment diary to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix

- Assessing patients and monitoring condition while on treatment

- Providing advice and signposting for patients, carers, and colleagues

- Working collaboratively with the chemotherapy team to maintain safe standards of care

- Participating in educational and training opportunities

The working pattern is 9.5 hour shifts, 4 days a week, from 08:00 to 18:00, with some Saturday working on a rota basis.

The salary range for this position is £39,959 to £48,117 per annum.
