## Description

As a Certification and Conformance Specialist at 3M's Personal Safety Division (PSD), you will be responsible for ensuring the certification and compliance of Hearing and Protective Communication Personal Protective Equipment.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Identifying regulatory product certification requirements for hearing protection and protective communications products

- Preparing and submitting regulatory documentation for product certification schemes

- Collaborating with test labs, notified bodies, and agencies to submit products for certification and arrange manufacturing site audits

- Providing regulatory input into PSD new product projects and executing the regulatory plan to enable product commercialization

- Engaging with regulatory authorities and notified bodies on post-market follow-up activities

- Identifying and executing operational efficiency projects

- Performing routine regulatory tasks for new and existing products

- Keeping up-to-date with changes in applicable standards and regulations

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 5 years of regulatory experience in a private, public, government, or military environment. Additional qualifications that could be beneficial include a degree in an occupational health and safety, scientific, electronics, or engineering discipline, experience in electrical safety, intrinsic safety, RF, knowledge of hearing protection standards, and project management experience.

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN or Indianapolis, IN. Travel may include up to 5% domestic/international.
