Your role is expected to excel at switching power supply design review, possessing a robust understanding and practical experience in power supply design and knowledge of how to quantify design robustness and reliability.

Responsibilities:

- Design Expertise: Ensure designs meet technical requirements and craft design margin measures to quantify design robustness.

- Sub-tier component knowledge: Select components from quality suppliers and understand their impact on power supply circuitry performance.

- Environmental and reliability qualification: Set reliability targets and identify design weaknesses.

- Manufacturing readiness: Understand end-to-end manufacturing processes and examine assembly and test process capability.

- Standards Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards.

- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multi-functional teams and effectively communicate complex ideas.

- Problem-Solving: Lead and resolve design issues and quality reviews.

- Program/Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key vendors and act as primary point of contact.

Requirements:

- BSME/BSEE or equivalent with 8+ years of design experience in power supply design.

- Expert knowledge in high efficiency and density power supply design and qualification.

- Proven experience on product reliability evaluation and qualification.

- Experience in leading failure analysis and quality improvement activities.

Preferred qualifications:

- Strong analog circuit design skills.

- Rich experience on characterizing power semi-conductors.

- Knowledge of thermal design principles.

- Proficiency in PCB/PCBA fabrication and assembly techniques.

- Experience presenting to large product teams.
