## Description

The Role…

At Soho House, a Server is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating members and guests on all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards.

The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of service and guest satisfaction. They collaborate with other team members, complete pre-service and post-service duties, accurately enter orders into POS, and are attentive during service to support additional member or guest requests.

A successful Server maintains a positive and influential attitude, is detail-oriented, process-driven, and flexible while working under pressure.

Main Duties:

- Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management

- Positively influence members and guests' experiences by elevating the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discussing specials to drive sales

- Maintain communication and advise Management and Executive Chef on any allergies or potential red flags encountered throughout the night

- Complete all checkout reports at the end of each shift

- Adhere to health and safety policies, Company policies, procedures, standards, and local, state, and federal law

- Ensure food orders are finished being plated and coursed out correctly before serving to members/guests

- Assist runners and bussers when possible with expo and service bar tickets

- Clean and stock server alley and bar area, polish silverware, plates, and glassware as needed

- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions when asked by members and/or guests

Required Skills/Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar capacity

- Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm while problem-solving under pressure

- Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards colleagues and guests

- Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School

- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays

- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, and autonomously

Physical Requirements:

- Seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands

- Make periodical fast-paced movements

- Move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20 pounds

- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb
