We are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.

The Senior Risk Manager will have the opportunity to apply their risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest profile Risk Management initiatives, including implementing solutions to ensure Capital One’s continued stability and success.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize risk processes

- Leverage data analysis and operational insights to identify core problems and formulate effective solutions

- Collaborate with 1st Line and 2nd Line stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent execution across business lines

- Partner with technology, product, and data teams to implement required system and process updates

- Design and implement risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness and process health

- Lead training across lines of defense to ensure consistent adoption and execution

- Establish and manage guidance to ensure consistent execution across business lines

- Design and manage reporting that provides real-time visibility into process health for leadership

- Provide subject matter expertise on risk processes when representing ERM in projects and other meetings

- Deliver reporting and executive-level presentations that provide leadership with real-time risk visibility

- Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations to achieve objectives.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 3 years of Financial Services Risk Management Experience

- At least 5 years of Project Management experience

- At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in Risk

- 7+ years of Financial Services risk management experience

- PMP Certification or Master's Certificate of Project Management (CPM)

- Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

**Salary:** Chicago, IL: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Risk Manager McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr. Risk Manager Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Risk Manager Riverwoods, IL: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Risk Manager
