## Description

Join Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team as a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help deliver the company's vision of a fully electric transportation future. As a key member of the Software Release & Deployment function, you will drive the development of Ford's global release & update capability across millions of vehicles. This includes delivering Over The Air (OTA) software updates to customers at scale.

Develop world-class, low latency, high availability services that support internal engineering as well as millions of Ford customers. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver functioning code against the technical vision, technical strategy. Deliver functional capabilities that are aligned to timelines and roadmaps.

Own code quality with focus on analyzing customer needs. Attend standup meetings, leverage project management practices, processes and tools to help drive projects to a successful completion. Adapt in a rapidly changing environment and drive consistency of purpose for a complex organization.

Apply previous experience in driving cross-functional teams in multifaceted technical and regulatory constrained environments is essential. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver technical initiatives, quickly turning concepts into functioning code.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop world-class, low latency, high availability services that support internal engineering as well as millions of Ford customers

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver functioning code against the technical vision, technical strategy

- Deliver functional capabilities that are aligned to timelines and roadmaps

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or a combination of equivalent experience and education

- 3+ years experience as Full Stack Engineer, leveraging object-oriented language(s), Java/Spring Framework, C++ or equivalent

- 3+ years developing REST/Queue based interfaces

- 3+ years developing APIs using back-end technologies such as Node.js, Go, Python

- 3+ working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL Queries

- 3+ years working with cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS

- 3+ years implementing front-end user interfaces using frameworks such as React or Angular

**Even better if you have:**

- Master's degree in associated field

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies. Docker, Kubernetes

- Deep understanding of distributed microservice architectures

- Experience with various deployment pipelines. GitHub Actions, Jenkins

- Knowledge of trunk-based development practices

- Experience with the Open Application Model and Infra-As-Code

- Understanding of security best practices in web development

- SaaS development experience

- Demonstrated time in role working in a multi-disciplined organization focused on delivering development efficiency

- Excellent communication skills both up and down the organization to achieve the desired results.

- Critical Thinking: Demonstrated examples of applying systemic thinking, logic and reasoning skills to be able to identify opportunities, alternative solutions or approaches to problems.

- Organizational skill: Strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction coupled with an ability to move within the organization to complete work and balance tradeoffs.
