## Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Transaction Lawyer to join our Energy and Infrastructure M&A team. As a key player in our organisation, you will work closely with our clients and colleagues to advise on complex cross-border M&A transactions in the energy and infrastructure sector.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile deals, analysing project and contract documentation, identifying opportunities and risks, and contributing to the structuring and negotiation of purchase agreements. You will be part of a dynamic team that collaborates seamlessly across practice groups, countries, and time zones.

Our team covers the entire spectrum of digital and energy infrastructure, from data centres and digital networks to energy tech, trading, and grid platforms, smart metering, and renewable energy generation. We advise global clients on highly complex M&A transactions, primarily cross-border, in the energy and infrastructure sector.

As a Transaction Lawyer, you will:

- Analyse project and contract documentation to identify opportunities and risks

- Conduct due diligence workstreams and consolidate results from involved colleagues

- Contribute to the structuring, creation, and negotiation of purchase agreements

- Collaborate with regulatory teams on merger control, investment control, and EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation processes

We offer:

- Individualised training and development through HLC Lead & Learn, including international training modules

- Flat hierarchies and a valuing, entrepreneurial work atmosphere

- Active involvement in global industry sectors

- Employee networks, such as Pride+, Global Ability Inclusion Network, or women's networks

- Diverse events on technical, social, and economic topics

- Comprehensive wellbeing offers

Ideally, you have:

- Two satisfactory legal state exams

- Strong motivation and learning willingness for a career start or first professional experience in transactions/M&A, ideally with a focus on energy, energy tech, or infrastructure

- Technical affinity and curiosity about smart metering platforms, generation plants, or energy markets, and how AI and Legal Tech change transaction work

- Interest in economic interconnections and entrepreneurial thinking

- Enjoy finding solutions that are legally robust and entrepreneurially sensible

- Confident, convincing appearance towards clients and in negotiations

- Fluent English and ideally experience abroad
