## Description

We are seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead and develop a team of software engineers responsible for delivering high-quality products and platform capabilities. As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will work closely with product, project, and engineering partners to provide technical leadership, support the successful delivery of software solutions, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities and improve existing ones

- Manage your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving feedback

- Monitor and report on technical progress against plans

- Act as a go-to person on coding and technical issues

- Drive and implement process improvements

Requirements:

- Experience in a software engineering role as part of a product or platform delivery team

- Substantial Software Engineering experience

- Experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models

- Excellent organisational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically

- Experience of managing Software Engineering Teams

- Natural problem-solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience

- Proficient in database technology, design and manipulation, optimisation, and best practice
