## Description

Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic has an opportunity for a Staff Nurse in Mental Health or Learning Disability to join their team.

The role involves working effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting the best interests of clients and their carers while ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining a safe and supportive care environment

- Exercising professional accountability and responsibility

- Using nursing skills, knowledge, and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments

- Working within the scope of professional practice and maintaining high standards of care at all times

The successful candidate will be working on the low secure forensic ward, working rotational shifts over a two-week period.

Requirements:

- Qualified Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with active NMC registration

- Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience working within a mental health care environment and completion of preceptorship programme

- Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards

- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement, and delivering high-quality care

- Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care

Salary: £39,176 - £41,596 per annum plus £5,000 welcome bonus Relocation support (including payment for accommodation or moving costs) up to £3,000
