## Description

You will play a crucial role as a Sr Staff R&D Engineer working on the Omniverse/Physical AI platform at Synopsys. The company is a leader in engineering solutions, enabling customers to innovate AI-powered products rapidly.

As a Sr Staff R&D Engineer, you will design and build core platform components for a Physical AI system spanning backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces. You will develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React or similar modern frameworks, working closely with UX/UI designers. Your responsibilities will also include integrating AI and ML components, APIs, and simulation workflows into a cohesive platform architecture.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and building core platform components for a Physical AI system

- Developing responsive, high-performance web applications using React or similar modern frameworks

- Integrating AI and ML components, APIs, and simulation workflows into a cohesive platform architecture

- Writing and maintaining code in Python, C++, and JavaScript/TypeScript across backend services and frontend applications

- Participating in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making

The impact you will have:

- Enable engineers across Synopsys to simulate and visualize physical AI environments with fast, reliable, and intuitive tools

- Reduce friction between backend infrastructure and frontend experience, making the platform easier to adopt

- Accelerate development velocity by building reusable components, clear APIs, and automation

Requirements:

- 8+ years of software development experience building production systems

- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for backend services

- Solid frontend development skills using React, Angular, or Vue.js

- Deep understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns

- Experience designing and deploying scalable architectures

Nice to have:

- Experience with OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description) and familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse or similar 3D simulation platforms

- Experience with WebGL, Three.js, or other 3D visualization frameworks
