## Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Louisville is seeking an intern to join our team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our programs and services, working closely with our staff to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

**Requirements**

- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or having graduated within the last 12 months

- U.S. citizen or active and compliant visas and work authorization status in the United States

- Availability during IRC business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

- Ability to handle sensitive client information confidentially

- Strong intercultural communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and across language barriers

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Previous experience working with vulnerable populations or in social work/social services preferred but not required

- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new software for data entry

**Training and Guidance** In-depth training will be provided to interns to understand IRC programming and the various needs of clients accessing IRC services. Interns will receive training on IRC's federal R&P and APA service agreements and their programmatic requirements for resettlement services.
