## Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Acute Care team at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

The successful candidate will have completed a two-year college program for Physical Therapy Assistants approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and hold a current license in the State of North Carolina to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant. A CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will carry out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by the physical therapist in clinical and research applications. This involves training patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living. You will also collect clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores and assessments, and health-related quality of life information.

Key responsibilities include:

- Performing a wide range of tests and evaluations in a clinical or research setting

- Maintaining supplies and equipment

- Assisting with research protocol and treatment development

- Participating in staff meetings, forums, committees, and in-service training activities
