## Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Building Technology Systems to design and engineer building technology systems, including ICT, Audio-Visual, Security, Home Automation, and Guest room management systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with project leads, architects, and other engineers to integrate technology systems within new and existing buildings. They will create detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for building technology projects. The ideal candidate will evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions and vendors to achieve project goals and stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building technology systems.

Responsibilities:

- Design and engineer building technology systems

- Collaborate with project leads, architects, and other engineers

- Create detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation

- Evaluate and select technology solutions and vendors

- Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations

ICT:

- BICSI certification

- Fibre distribution design

- Passive Network design

- Digital infrastructure design

- Rack layout design with cable management expertise

- Active network design and optimization

- WiFi Heat map design experience

- Control room and Data center rack design

- CAD, 3D Revit, Sketch-up

- Smart spaces integration

- Exposure to Hospitality sector design, retail design, master planning detailed design

Security Systems:

- Familiar with Middle-East local security standards

- CCTV design for indoor and outdoor applications

- Understanding of MoI requirements

- Electronic Security

- Security control room and equipment room design

- Security IP network design with cable management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

- Minimum 8 years of experience in building technology systems

- Proficiency in relevant engineering software

- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and sustainability practices

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
