## Description

You will be part of the Global Enterprise Segment (GES) at Cisco, leading top 500 strategic accounts.

The role of a Solutions Engineer (SE) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides technical information and guidance to customers, delivering meaningful outcomes based on Cisco's product and services portfolio.

**Responsibilities:**

- Technology solution consultant to customers and the Cisco account team.

- Leverage Cisco technology, services, and support specialists.

- Collaborate with Account Managers on account planning activities.

- Educate customers on Cisco differentiation and create demand.

- Align Cisco's product and services capabilities with customers' business drivers.

- Determine and have a long history in the Networking field.

- Strong background in large enterprises and/or large service provider IT accounts.

- Understand how to engage new lines of business to drive understanding and preference for Cisco's Routing & Switching, Data Center, Security, and Internet of Things solutions.

- Strong business acumen and customer presence.

- Experience and comfort conversing with network and telecommunications managers as well as customer lines of business on Data Center, Security, and Retail solutions.

- Drive customer activities and discussions that lead to preference for Cisco's Routing & Switching, Data Center, Security, and Automation solutions.

- Plan sales strategy, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations and demonstrations to close business and generate revenue.

- Train colleagues on Data Center, Virtualization, and MOCA topics and practices.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- 8+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or the broader computing/IT industry, with a strong focus on Cisco Enterprise Routing & Switching, Data Center, and Security solutions.

- In-depth knowledge of large IT environments and applications.

- Deep understanding and operational experience with a routed and switched data/voice network.

- Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.

- Minimum CCNP or similar vendor certification required.

- Knowledge of Cisco's Solutions, networking fundamentals required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Pre-Sales experience preferred.

- Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.

- Customer intimacy skills
