### Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack - Slack

As a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack, on the Enterprise Trust team at Slack, you will play a crucial role in protecting how work gets done. Slack continues to scale across the world's largest organizations, and the team ensures that enterprises remain secure and compliant with complex global standards.

The Enterprise Trust team owns the Enterprise Compliance & Security domain for Slack, focusing on mission-critical security and compliance features for large-scale enterprises. Key areas include SSO, DLP, SCIM, IDR, EKM, Data Retention, and comprehensive Audit Logs. You will design, build, and maintain systems that are scalable, performant, and tailored to real enterprise needs.

The team uses reliable tools such as PHP/Hack, React, TypeScript, MySQL, and Linux. Familiarity with other common web languages and relational databases is also beneficial.

#### Responsibilities

- Innovate & Build: Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to conceptualize and build new enterprise security and compliance features.

- Deliver Impact: Produce high-quality code and contribute heavily to projects that secure the Slack platform and drive significant business value.

- System Ownership: Actively own core security features or systems, defining their long-term health and improving surrounding infrastructure.

- Operational Excellence: Assist in triaging and resolving production issues to maintain high availability.

- Level Up the Team: Mentor other engineers, provide deep code reviews, and elevate engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

#### Requirements

- Experience: 7+ years of professional experience building web applications.

- Technical Chops: Proficiency in functional or imperative programming languages.

- CS Fundamentals: Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and information retrieval.

- Architecture & Design: Ability to drive technical decisions and write understandable, testable, and maintainable code.

- Communication: Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
