## Description

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to work throughout the country. As a Transportation Area Manager, you will focus on four key areas: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis of problem areas

- Streamlining logistics in the operation through implementation of standard work and team leadership

- Supporting and committing to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates

- Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools

As a Transportation Area Manager, you will lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution. You will plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated sites, carry out supervisory responsibilities, drive high safety standards, audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), and environmental regulations.

Your day will start with a review of site key transportation metrics, including Safety Yard Events and On Time Departure (OTD). You will then participate in Gemba Walks and Daily Dive Deep Meetings in your site.

As a TAM professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving Amazon's logistics evolution, shaping the way goods move, empowering people, and delivering exceptional experiences for customers.
