## Job Summary

As a Manager, Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies. You'll operate across billions of customer records to unlock big opportunities that help everyday people save money, time, and agony in their financial lives.

## Responsibilities

- Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver a product customers love

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights hidden within huge volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

## Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)

- 6, 4, or 1 year(s) of experience performing data analytics, respectively

- 1 year of experience with open-source programming languages and machine learning

- 1 year of experience with relational databases

## Preferred Qualifications

- PhD in STEM field with 3 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, and SQL

## Salary Information

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are:

- McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100

- Plano, TX: $179,400 - $204,700
