ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified TESOL Teacher at Lorain Bilingual Academy in Lorain, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Lorain Bilingual Academy is an award-winning, public charter school located on a safe, secure historic campus. The school provides EK-8th grade students daily Spanish instruction and cultural enrichment activities throughout the school year.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development

- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behavior in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating with families regarding student growth

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice

- Participating in non-instructional activities as needed

- Collaborating with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to properly manage confidential information

- Ability to supervise students of various ages

- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working within an urban environment
