## Description

We are seeking an Accounts Manager to oversee the Japan Receivables Portfolio, focusing on invoicing, dispute resolution, and past-due balance collection across Cisco's products and services.

**Job Scope:** You will manage all accounts in the Japan Receivables Portfolio, ensuring timely invoicing, resolving disputes, and collecting past-due balances. You will also supervise a third-party operations vendor to meet deliverables and report to the Regional Collections Manager, Japan.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Monitor invoice generation and delivery to customers

- Promote positive payment behavior and follow up on overdue payments

- Confer with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payments

- Record payments and monitor their application

- Provide cash collections forecasts for the assigned portfolio

- Assist order management and review sales and service contracts

- Ensure disputes are recorded and resolved with internal partners

- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on account health

- Review and recommend bad debt write-offs

- Perform operations tasks, including account reconciliation and registering customer detail changes

- Collaborate with third-party vendors to meet performance metrics

- Conduct performance reviews with vendors to evaluate KPIs and implement corrective measures

- Partner with internal teams to ensure compliance with local guidelines and company requirements

- Drive process improvements using AI tools and applications

- Collaborate with the global I2C team on new tools, systems, and processes

**Skills Required:**

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work across organizations and resolve cross-functional issues

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

- Tech-forward approach with a continuous improvement mindset

- Relevant collections experience, preferably with ERPs like Oracle/SAP

- Proficiency in MS-Office applications

- Fair speaking and writing knowledge of English and Japanese

**Education:**

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

- Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience required
