## Description

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Intermountain Health Sanpete Valley Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition, meeting hospital and Joint Commission standards.

**Essential Functions:**

- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures

- Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards

- Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash

- Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards

- Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

- Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety

**Qualifications:**

- Demonstrated communication skills, including differentiating colour-coded labels and/or chemicals, and following written and/or verbal directions

- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department

- Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred)

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs

- Frequent interactions with customers require the ability to communicate and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately

- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy

- Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment, and work on hands and knees, bending to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment

**Salary:** $17.68 - $22.99 per hour
