## Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist, PRN, Inpatient to join our team at Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, NC. The successful candidate will provide patient care assessment and treatment, maintain accurate patient documentation, and meet department financial and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring comprehensive and functional evaluations and treatments according to the Standard of Practice.

- Maintain accurate patient documentation, completing written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy.

- Meet department financial and productivity standards, understanding budgeted expectations and maintaining productivity standards.

- Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services, identifying quality and operational opportunities.

- Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers, providing representation on committees and conducting in-service training programs.

- Supervise physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students to develop their clinical skills and ensure quality patient care.

- Communicate professionally and timely with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.

- Provide patient care according to age/developmental guidelines, demonstrating age/developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school required.

- M.S. or D.P.T. preferred.

- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure.

- CPR certification required every two years.
