As a Technologist - Produce, you'll play a key role in supporting our food safety, quality, legality, and integrity agenda across the Produce category.

**Responsibilities**

- Supporting food safety, quality, and compliance across the Produce category

- Managing product specifications, technical documentation, and supplier due diligence programmes

- Investigating product quality and compliance issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions

- Analysing customer feedback, complaints, and technical KPIs to drive continuous improvement

- Working with suppliers and internal teams to improve freshness, shelf life, consistency, and reduce waste

- Supporting supplier audits, performance reviews, product launches, and sourcing initiatives

- Contributing to Asda's sustainability and responsible sourcing commitments

**Requirements**

**Essential**

- Experience within a Technical, Quality, Food Safety, or Compliance role in retail, manufacturing, agriculture, or fresh food

- Good understanding of food safety principles, quality management systems, and due diligence requirements

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision making

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders

- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

- A keen eye for detail and a solution-focused approach to problem solving

- A passion for delivering great products and outcomes for customers

**Desirable**

- Experience working within Fresh Produce

- HACCP Level 3 qualification

- Internal auditing, BRCGS, Lead Assessor training, or related experience

- Experience supporting supplier audits and technical compliance programmes

- Understanding of project management and change delivery
