## Description

Benchling is looking for a Head of Procurement to lead its procurement function.

The successful candidate will be a senior individual contributor reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, responsible for third-party spend in cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, and professional services, as well as the travel and expense program.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading vendor negotiation and renewals for strategic agreements

- Developing category strategies for major spend areas

- Designing and implementing a third-party vendor risk program

- Leveraging experience to lead edge, best-in-class process and set direction

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, with negotiation expertise and a track record of delivering substantial savings.

In return, Benchling offers a competitive salary of $187,425 - $253,575, equity, and a comprehensive benefits program.

The work arrangement is hybrid, with employees expected to be on-site 3 days per week.
