## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our team. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity. You will work independently, results-oriented, across teams and organizations.

## What you'll do

- Leads the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, including technical discovery, negotiation of technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.

- Acts as a credible hands-on expert in the customer's application, working with customers to understand their product development requirements and identify opportunities to improve performance metrics.

- Supports the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the platform and our products; implements our solutions into customers' design workflows.

- Collaborates with Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participates in testing of new Ansys product releases and develops application best practices.

- Supports the Field and Digital Marketing teams by developing promotional materials, supporting events, and authoring conference presentations.

- Contributes to and leads professional service deliveries and conducts training classes.

## What you need

- Demonstrated experience in the use of Fluent or other commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software packages.

- Strong fundamentals and experience in modeling turbulence, multiphase flows, mass & heat transfer phenomena.

- Demonstrated understanding of engineering practices and product development, experience with building solutions using simulation technology and deploying those solutions within customers' engineering workflows.

- Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.

- Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.
