## Description

We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Hertford. This role involves supporting the delivery of projects with a focus on active travel, public transport, strategy development, and business case support.

The successful candidate will be part of WSP's UK-wide Transport & Mobility team, working on a wide range of transport planning technical work for clients from Local Authorities, National Government Organisations, and the private sector.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting project delivery with a focus on active travel, public transport, strategy development, and business case support

- Leading and managing tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team and producing high-quality outputs in line with client requirements

- Contributing to the commercial performance of the team, recognising key metrics and understanding how individual and project team performance contributes to them

- Making an active contribution to WSP's four key pillars: People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Technical Excellence

Requirements:

- Experience in active travel, public transport, scheme development, and/or business case development

- Experience in developing transport-focused strategies, plans, and policies

- Experience in working with Local Authority and/or private sector clients

- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver presentations to various audiences

- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage tasks and support wider team management
