## Description

The Patient Relations Analyst (PRA) at Oak Street Health educates patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance coverage options to increase patient access to care and retention.

Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues, including coverage, benefits, summaries, eligibility, and getting the most out of their plan

- Serve as an internal resource in the clinic on insurance questions for providers and staff

- Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system and help resolve medical bills

- Gain the trust of Oak Street Health patients to properly advise them on healthcare coverage

- Manage the welcome visit and orientation process for new patients

- Educate patients on how to apply for public benefits, such as Public Aid and Extra Help for prescription drugs

- Support the clinic management team on operational activities as needed

- Provide exceptional customer service

- Foster patient engagement through events and center tours

Requirements:

- Computer skills, including ability to navigate multiple computer programs

- US work authorization

Preferred qualifications:

- Proficiency in non-English languages, such as Spanish, Polish, or Russian

- Experience with helping patients or customers understand their insurance coverage

- Sales background

- Experience with and a supportive attitude toward older adults

- CRM experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- Experience helping patients navigate the healthcare system, especially related to Medicare and Managed Care
