## Description

Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC Registration to join our team on the PICU ward.

This is a fixed term role of 18 months, working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £39,392.00-£41,953.00 dependent on experience.

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will provide safe, person-centred nursing care tailored to individual needs, working closely with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assessing, planning, delivering and regularly reviewing care, maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns appropriately

- Acting as Nurse in Charge, Bed Manager or Site Co-ordinator when required, prioritising and delegating duties effectively and supervising nursing and HCA staff

- Supporting junior, agency and student nurses, maintaining mandatory training and professional development, and participating in clinical governance, supervision and reflective practice

- Promoting safeguarding and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, medicines management, Priory policies and the NMC Code, while managing challenging behaviour safely and professionally
