## Description

High View Primary School is seeking a Temporary Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a child with additional learning needs. The successful candidate will build a positive and trusting relationship with the child and work closely with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and other professionals.

**Job Details:**

- Temporary position from ASAP until August 2027

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:20am–3:20pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

- Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET days)

- Salary: £23,612 to £25,357 per year

- Focus: One-to-one support for a child with additional learning needs

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide focused individual support to the child

- Contribute to the child's learning and development

- Observe and record the child's progress and achievements

**Requirements:**

- Experience of working with children with additional learning needs

- Ideally, experience of supporting children who are pre-verbal and/or use AAC devices to communicate

- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children

- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities

- Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

- Confidence using IT to support work
