## Description

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team at MHP Romania.

The role involves implementing IP-based network solutions, configuring network security standards and best practices, managing and configuring firewall systems, and collaborating with other IT/security teams and business units to ensure alignment of infrastructure with security and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Implement IP-based network solutions

- Configure network security standards and best practices

- Configure and maintain network zones and access control policies

- Manage and configure firewall systems

- Implement and operate proxy solutions to ensure secure and monitored web access

- Support secure connectivity for SAP systems using SAP Router

- Review, optimize, and maintain security rule sets and configurations

- Collaborate with other IT/security teams and business units to ensure alignment of infrastructure with security and business requirements

Qualifications:

- Theoretical expertise of IP-based networks

- Knowledge of network (Cisco) or security (Checkpoint) equipment

- Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Wireless technologies

- Curiosity and willingness to learn

- Familiarity with network zone concepts (e.g., DMZ, internal, external, restricted zones)

- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team, but also individually

Nice-to-haves:

- Hands-on experience with Cisco LAN, WAN and Wireless equipment

- Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Management Console

Things to know before departure:

- Start date: by arrangement, always on the 1st and 15th of the month

- Working hours: part-time (20h)

- Vacation days: 27

- Employment contract: Unlimited

- Line of work: Consulting

- Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken German (B2-C1) & English (B2)

- Flexibility & willingness to travel

- Valid work permit required
