## Description

As a Junior Host at Holland America Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will be stationed in the main dining room, specialty restaurant, and lido buffet to guarantee smooth operations.

Your general duties will include assisting guests with reservations, presenting menus, and engaging in warm conversations.

To excel in this role, you should possess impeccable professional presentation, charm, and charisma. Teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

### Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Restaurant Host, Restaurant Operations Manager, and Maître D' in handling reservations on embarkation day.

- Lead and guide guests through the restaurant to their dining tables.

- Monitor and provide timely assistance to teams requiring immediate support to ensure a seamless guest experience.

- Periodically visit guest tables to gather feedback and share insights with the management team.

### Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- 1 year+ experience in a 5-star hotel or similar establishment.

- Intermediate skills using computerized reservation or table management systems.

- Advanced level English verbal and writing skills.

- College degree in hospitality is preferred.
