## Description

We are recruiting for an Identity & Data Security Engineer to join our Information Security Team.

In this role, you will:

- Be the Council’s Subject Matter Expert and Lead for Microsoft Purview. Own the roadmap for the product and make recommendations on its future development and use.

- Monitor and report on data governance effectiveness, policy compliance, and data security health.

- Support the organisational rollout of Purview features in structured phases and ensure remediation of existing configurations.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview including classification, labelling, DLP, Insider Risk and governance policies.

- Excellent knowledge of Azure security concepts including role assignments, app registrations, managed identities, access governance, and authentication methods.

- Excellent understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.

- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
