## Description

The Ocean team at Flexport works globally to ensure smooth business operations and provide the best ocean product for clients. As a Procurement Manager, you will be integral to achieving Flexport's growth goals, focusing on the Transpacific-Eastbound (TPEB) trade.

Responsibilities:

- Drive ocean carrier procurement for TPEB, leading carrier development and partnerships.

- Coordinate and negotiate procurement activities across various timeframes.

- Develop scalable procurement processes and tools.

- Lead rate setting and strategy during RFP seasons.

- Collaborate with commercial and demand teams to win new business and execute current business plans.

- Educate the broader organization on carrier and tradelane intelligence.

- Lead cross-team meetings and work with colleagues in Asia to execute trade strategies.

- Handle escalations to keep business operations smooth.

Requirements:

- 7+ years of ocean procurement experience or relevant supply chain experience.

- Strategic vision and process improvement skills.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to travel and manage people.

- Compliance-focused mindset.
