## Description

We are seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader (Early Morning) to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members and ensuring that our guests have an exceptional shopping experience.

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $22.00 - $24.00, and the full pay range is $22.00 - $37.40.

As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will:

- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience

- Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and consistent operations

- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognising great guest experience moments

- Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviours and execution

- Lead the execution of daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members

- Thrives in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem-solving are key to success

- Is open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts and other peak shopping times)

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Age 18 or older

- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required

- Lead and hold others accountable

- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

- Work independently and as part of a team

- Manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

- Effective communication skills
