## Description

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's Autonomous Airpower (Fury) product portfolio. This involves collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.

- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.

- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp up production.

- Manage CAPEX during NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.

- Complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.

- Ensure component qualifications are completed before production.

- Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.

- Lead cost engineering activities to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.

- Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.

- 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.

- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work.

- Ability to travel 10%-40% of the time and potentially relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, deeper experience in design and development of electronics/mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, and supplier development.
